Jason Specland is a third-generation photographer and award-winning pantomime who has fond memories of his grandfather’s darkroom, and how he was told to keep out of it. His father also bravely did his part to discourage him by almost never allowing him to touch his horrifically expensive film camera. But, like many artists, Jason just wouldn’t take the hint and continued taking photographs anyway.
Having spent many years taking photographs only for his legions of Flickr fans, Jason has now moved into the professional arena. Fortunately, he’s also been a professional actor and theater director, so he’s used to disappointment. He even paid a guy to design this fancy-shmancy website. Please hire him, so he can at least pay the website guy.
Jason has been married for five years to his gorgeous, talented, and extremely understanding wife Paula. Together, they have miraculously produced Benjamin, the most perfect two-year-old boy imaginable, except for the part where he still won’t sleep through the night in his own bed. He already knows the words “camera,” “light stand”, “smile,” and “say cheese.” Unfortunately this means that he’ll no doubt become the fourth-generation…
